2 SUMMARY FOR USING THE TEST
When the body has been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it produces specific IgM / IgG antibodies to immunize itself against the infection.
By measuring the concentration of these specific antibodies, the CoV-2 rapid test can determine in just twenty minutes whether a patient’s immune system has been exposed to the virus within the last 4 to 24 days or more.
3 PRINCIPLE OF THE IVD TEST
The CoV-2 rapid test consists of a cassette with a test strip with two detection bands, one for IgM T1 and one for IgG T2. These are each coated with mouse anti-human IgM or IgG antibodies. The test strip also has a control band “C” coated with a goat anti-mouse IgG antibody.t ist.
